Your new look homepage

We’re working to make your online experience better, and this homepage reflects our commitment.

If you’re a Defined Contribution (DC) Section member, this website provides the information you need to help you understand how the Plan works. If you are used to seeing another page here, don’t worry, your original site is just one click away! If this is your first time here, register for your account if you haven’t already.

If you’re a Defined Benefit (DB) Section member, this website has new features for you! You can now register for your online account so that, in future, you can keep track of your DB benefits online. You’ll need your membership number – which you can find on any Plan statements or correspondence that we’ve sent you – as well as your National Insurance number.

About Your Pension

Usually, you will either be in the Defined Contribution (DC) Section or a Defined Benefit (DB) Section, although you may have benefits in both. If you have more than one member number (have a look at any old statements or correspondence you have) you will need to register an account for each number (although we are looking to change this in the future). To help you find out which section you’re in:

In the DC Section…

  • You’ll pay or used to pay contributions from your salary to build up a Defined Contribution (sometimes known as money purchase) pension pot.

  • You will have received Annual Benefit Statements each year showing the value of your pot as it changes in line with the chosen investment funds.

  • Your savings are known as ‘defined contribution’ or ‘money purchase’ pension savings.

In a DB section...

  • You’ll have a guaranteed pension figure based on your salary and service in the section.

  • This is known as a Defined Benefit (sometimes called final salary) pension.
